The biggest problem is that AI trains on everything, regardless of copyright. Works of artists that are openly, strongly against AI have their works fed into AI models, to support models that steal their work and sells it as their own, with no compensation whatsoever. This is only possible through a legal loophole where everything is collected "for research". It's not for research, AI is a business that is built on people's works to steal those people's jobs.
