Chatbots are great but AI apps suck 110% absolutely. The problem is that engineers don't know jack about business process, conversely business people are not incentivized to help eliminate their jobs, so you have apps made in a vacuum based on perhaps one subject matter experts paradigm. Now the problem is in order to unleash the power of AI, liceneses are too expensive and handcuff your regular normy from building AI agents. I still say chatbots are bad ass to put code together. My prediction is that software engineers will be table stakes in every line of business, not just under the CTO. It's all good for coders as far as I'm concern.
