CGP Grey in his video: How AIs like ChatGPT Learn, already explained that at some point people dont know how the AI learns. They made bots (a teacher bot), that sets a criteria that eliminates vs keeps other bots (the AI bots). We dunno what that criteria is or how the "teacher bot" sets this criteria, we just know it advances on its own. And that video was 7 (SEVEN) years ago. So i thought we are fine in our lifetime. But as usual we need people that can use AI in a bad way to make AI bad. The problem will be money hungry corporations thinking they can replace full departments with AI. Which by the way is already happening. And governments that are paid by these corporations and do nothing to protect their own people, is another problem...
Also, we already have better robots than us. Look at boston dynamics's latest models... they are more agile than us... I cant move my torso 360? Can you?
