I worked at NDHQ in Ottawa. AI was making decisions for Afghanistan at least as far back as 2007. Generals simply converted the decisions to orders, because this way nobody can be blamed for anything. To contradict the AI would be a silly risk of one's career. This is not new news. Try to keep up.
