This is change and nobody likes change or different, we are terrified of it. This is why we sing to songs we already know but we are not keen on listening to new music especially when it's played live. This is why new artists struggle to get their career off the ground. So AI is taking so long to get up and running because of this very same reason. Look at electric cars, they have been out for years but only lately people are starting to prefer them than petrol cars WHY!! because their cheeper to tax and running cost are cheeper. I don't think anyone really likes Sophia but one day Sophia's will be washing your clothes, taking the kids to school, ironing, looking after the house and pets whilst your away on holiday, she will stay up all night keeping guard on the house whilst you sleep and the obvious one companionship. This is still early stages but before you know it you won't be able to tell the difference between robot or human. British people you will because they will still be the ones queuing up at Mcdonalds for an hr waiting for their burger and coke. Not even a robot would do that.
