Your math does not add up. The whole point of self driving cars which you rent per ride is that you do not use THE SAME car every time you use it. You use the NEAREST car. And that reduces the number of cars, the distance travelled and the parking space needed a lot in comparison to one designated/personally owned car per citizen.
