WHAT TO DO WHEN THIS HAPPENS TO YOU:
Scammers will stalk potential target accounts, including their friends and family. And then will scare the target that if they don't pay up they will send AI photos/videos to everyone in their friends/followers list.
DO NOT ENGAGE - They do not stop after you pay.
TAKE SCREENSHOTS - Evidence and to send warnings to your friends and family.
BLOCK & REPORT SCAMMER'S ACCOUNT - Immediately block their access to you, let your friends and family know to do the same.
LET YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT KNOW IMMEDIATELY - They can redirect you to a department that specializes in tracking these scammers.
INFORM YOUR FRIENDS/FAMILY/SCHOOL/COMMUNITY - Do not be embarrassed to let people know of your situation, letting everyone know that you are being targeted allows you to warn people ahead of time in case the scammer does send out AI pictures/videos of you. Let them know to block the scammer and warn others to do the same.
TEMPORARY HIDE/CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNTS - You may also ask this from your closest friends and family members. This will block them from interacting with you further. Lay low for the next months, and continue to report any weird messages you receive to your local police department.
