I would have thought that autonomous driving wouldn't get rid of drivers. It will free them up to handle the office with of trucking companies. Who is going to put thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars of his in a truck, and then send it hundreds of miles, unguarded. They need someone in the truck in order to keep an eye on their goods.
