I appreciate the sentiment of Miyazaki. But realistically, AI will be a powerful tool to support the creative process. Likely something will be lost in that process. Just like how 90s anime has its unique aesthetic that has been lost to digitization.
But there are studios who implement new technologies like 3D modeling to a stunning effect, and nothing is different here. It is another tool to be mastered.
