I use AI all the time to supplement my videos, it's easy to make thumbnails, and aid in my stop motion looking intros. I do see your point, years ago there was a plug in for my paint program that made photographs look like oil painting. I had a friend that would take pictures use the plugin, then sell them, I was not a fan of the lying - I think if you make something you should not lie about the source.
