As someone that uses an AI to make art: Making exact copies of someone's style, i find it kinda cringe, but combining multiple styles and adding your own flavor is fine. Like I've mixed 15 very different artists in the same prompt that were all extreme trolls to see what happened and i got some really wacky anime stuff lol. What people don't understand about ai is that, while your art may be fed through the database, the ai makes only unique art. Yeah the AI may be *learning* from your art, but it's not stealing anything. It just scans what you made, and breaks it down. Now the AI can bum off your style 95 percent, but it's not gonna steal art from you. The AI (unless it's midjourney, but even for that expensive behemoth it's still very limited, just less limited than the others) isn't gonna be able to make fine details like a human can, it can't "humanize" anything. Your art is more relatable than AI art. It can't make good complex poses, and it's really hard for it to focus on one thing. How it understands a prompt is breaking down each modifier like a token, or in easier terms, like an ingredient for a smoothie, it then blends all those tokens up, but instead of pouring it out slowly and being meticulous about it, it turns over immediately the pitcher of the blender and it all comes out at the same time with the end being the last minute quick adjustments. For the signatures, it's not stealing people's signatures. It just *LEARNED* from art "hey i think this may need a signature". Now the getty images watermark it does sometimes steal because of how prominent that it, the ai registers that as part of the picture instead of a signature to not copy. The signatures are all just random squiggly lines or in print random letters that if you look em up, don't exist. If you truly see yourself as talented and if you love making art, use an AI to learn how to beat the AI at its own game. It's not a human, remember. AI art and Human art can co-exist just fine. My PFP is AI art. Requires hours upon hours of prompt study to even get close to this. Making good unique prompts for AI Art is extremely hard. Like I tried getting like the basic webtoon style last night, I got really close, but I didn't steal anyone's style directly, Instead I just got the average webtoon style, average manhwa 50/50 style, and threw in a bit of anime artist (not manhwa) and through in hyperrealism, and a bunch of tweaking just to get even remotely close to the half way point. Human artists matter, Ai art users matter. I'm a music producer and all these things are applied the same for ai music, though that's in a more baby stage now that's extremely generic.
