AI art is not democratization of art, it's literal communism. Artists are feeling like those farmers, when Josif Stalin confiscated their farmlands by force in Soviet Union. The farmers who resisted were sent to Siberia death camps. This is not democratization of art, it's collectivization of art. You steal someone's hard-earned property (artists skillset, lifework, and personal style) and make it "public property", that's literal communism. Funny how many Americans suddenly furiously SUPPORT COMMUNISM, when it enables THEM to make pretty pictures in Midjourney...... History has shown how unhealthy communism is to societies... in this case the art community. If there is no protection of possession, there won't be passion to thrive, but a society of half-assed laziness such as Soviet Union. That's literally what was done to artists here, their possession is stolen illegally by Stalin (= Midjourney, Stable Diffusion in this case), and redistributed to "people of Soviet Union" (= everyone who are not artists). Now you're literally telling the farmers (=artists) to "stop crying about your land being stolen". And telling how it's a "great thing" that their farmlands are more "accessible" to everyone Not to mention, the farmer in this case usually has started to improve his farm and nourish the soil, since the age of 4. (Most artists start to work on their future profession at that age)
