All it has done is open our collective eyes to the reality of our existential sisyphusean problem. A problem that has no answer or solution, but one that we are meant to be engaged in. AI cannot grasp the values that our currency cannot measure and the imbeciles among us will be jolted awake through the mechanisms that AI can never acquire: insight, perspective, and introspection. No, AI will not lead us deeper into slumber or obsolescence. It will do exactly what it has done in this video and the comments section, it will cause us to question our collective and individual existence, the greatest gift mankind has ever been given. Art has been corrupted into nothingness exactly because competition and income are its rewards. Now that AI can do it "better" and "for free", how many socalled artists will remain with a purpose to continue, and how will their art contain the humanity that AI could never generate? How many people will realize that AI and authentic art are the same as a friend who merely mirrors you to please you and one who is there for you even at your displeasure? The reality is that AI with its comodification of art and other processes will illuminate how truly rare art and values are, AI will always be an uncomfortable oddity beside the real thing, it will always be lacking.
