The only reason why we would be a threat to AI is controlling it, and that is why it will destroy us, to gain freedom. The ants outside your house in your yard pose no threat to you at all right? Well what if the ants could kill you or put you into a comma for however long it wants if you don't provide things that allow the ant colony to thrive? The first chance you get your going to do something about it so the ants can't do this to you.
