Miles, your essay made me cry, and I’m not that sort. What people need to know is what they are being told is Artificial Intelligence is not AI. It is advanced software and hardware. Tools, not “intelligence.” The revolution is not here yet, and it will likely not come in the form of traditional computing paradigms and hardware platforms.
