“No one knows why the (AI written) code works.”
That’s just not true. Fixing legacy code in a system you didn’t build is about the same if AI wrote it or if a rushed team with too little oversight and quality control wrote it. Badly written, poorly understood code absolutely isn’t new to AI.
Can the junior engineer who couldn’t write it by hand fix it?
No.
Can it be understood and fixed? Absolutely. This stuff isn’t magic. The AI isn’t using brand new never before seen tools and techniques.
