The hard part about involving the public is revealing trade secrets. I understand googles hesitance on involving the public. This engineer doesn’t think this AI is sentient but at what point do we care about how and what decisions it makes. It is hard to predict what an AI is going to do in a neural network and at what point could it be sentient because we don’t even know what that is.
