i think there's definitely 2 sides of the coin here, and i think we are not ready for this level of AI or Robotics, right now we can barely move away from the reality that YOU NEED TO DO JOB TO HAVE MONEY TO LIVE, we lack a lot of imagination and we are so slow to progress, besides that globally we are still fighting over resources, we are not united which is a giant issue that needs to be resolved at some point. i think a lot of these billionaires see a utopia where money is just not a problem at all, likely because they haven't been poor for most of their lives. and most certainly forgot what it's like to be unable to do what you want because of a lack of money, they dream big because they can afford it. basic universal income would solve the fact that you need to do meaningless or tedious work that makes you hate your life to even be able to live a comfortable life, if i can get a house with a small backyard i am willing to contribute to my community to ease the life of all of us, i will pick a job i want to do and do it, i will grow food, i will help with construction to build new homes, i will care for my neighbors but in this environment i go to work, do it, and the time i'm not working i don't wanna talk to anyone, i just wanna focus on regaining my energy for another mentally draining day at the job tomorrow. this capitalist environment makes me wanna kill myself more then anything. i see the utopia they try to build, but the governments are NOT ready for the impact it will have on human society, on one hand i support the shake up, on the other hand the unknowns about this new do scare me like like most people are, but it doesn't deter me, i wanna see what happens. i see people who are stuck in the way the world works now, afraid to move on and can't imagine a world beyond it.
