Remember, if AI "art" cannot be protected by copyright then corporations like Disney will have no choice but to not use AI less they lose all protections against piracy.
I am eagerly waiting to see a copyright court case where some AI was used in the creative process but there is also human involvement and the courts will need to define how much, if any, copyright protections can be applied to the work as a whole. Hopefully, the inclusion of AI generated content will cause the entire piece to be uncopyrightable or at least a large portion of it, meaning that generative AI will truely have no positive value for these corporations who only want to profit.
