I think that the only world where ai becomes a big thing is if we eventually get enough technological advancements to properly replicate (not simulate, replicate) the functions of the human mind, to the point where robots are literally just humans, the problem there is that if robots eventually become their own people due to far advanced technology, they would end up facing large amounts of discrimination and abuse, because programing them to just do what they’re told would fall under abuse if their brains functioned exactly as humans do
But until the day that we fully understand the way brains work down to every detail and are able to replicate that with technology, there is no place for ai
