At the most basic level of analysis, AI is only a very sophisticated chain of algorithms that can construct answers or perform tasks in a virtual scenario (unless given the right tools and an interface to physically perform what the user asks). AI is better than the average human in some scenarios because AI have the knowledge of millions of humans at hand and function solely because of human interaction and input, also AI can put every resource available to it. Regarding the concept of creativity, humans will always be better than AI because the latter is a construction of the former, and all the output of an AI is fed by the information given by humans constantly. It does not have the real ability to create anything of value, at least in the realm of creativity. AI can only recombine pre-existing knowledge following detailed input from a human. And even with the processing power, speed, and vast databases that AI has, it cannot generate novel ideas or concepts, which is the very essence of creativity. Some may argue that humans do the same thing by putting together knowledge that precedes them, but no, even with the power of the internet, humans do not have a database integrated with a brain that can access and process it quickly through carefully constructed circuits dedicated to that task and still, we are better at creating original ideas, and only ideas that orbit around human needs and desires can be of some value, which AI has nothing of it except the most sophisticated rigor of mathemathical processing to associate in a vague way complex cocepts and states of mind like emotions or will, anything that drifts away from the human framework of comprehension an utility has no place in our society. So, no, AI will never outperform a human in human tasks until AI is given or develops consciousness and independence from humans to actually interact with the real world and gain knowledge on its own. There are many aspects left behind, but it's already a long comment, soooo, fight me, humans win.
