This is wild because I'm an atheist but the religious AI absolutely won all points about morality. Morality is a man-made construct, there is no way around it. And making this declaration doesn't mean that you have to be able to explain why bad things happen.
Morality is a useful fiction, not unlike religion itself, but they're both fiction, nonetheless.
