I am a massive advocate for AI. I believe it has a lot of potential for good (especially if removed from private ownership). However, it will never replace human innovation and imagination. Even if sentience was possible, it's form of imagination and creativity would be completely separate from humans. The issue isn't with the AI. It's with how resources are distributed and people being unable to go after their passions and strive to improve on human experience and knowledge that is the problem. And instead of celebrating the difference and the potential for humans to push themselves further, we have a person completely missing the point with a ban that only supports businesses that seek cheap labor.
