I'm not an artist or an Ai bro, so take this opinion as from a third outside party. I don't think poisoning any industry that's trying to improve is fair, just like how it isn't fair that Ai is using your art as data sets. I hope the future has a better union between these two. I've seen artists use Ai brushes for texture painting that works really well. I've also seen beautiful human artwork that would be hollow if it wasn't made by a human. I've seen Ai music generators put out some good background music and vocals, should we have major record labels using it? No, I don't think so. Ai is a tool. We cannot forget the anger the painters and sculptors got when computers threatened the removal of their jobs by providing an alternative. Did computers completely replace sculptures and painted art? No, I don't think so. It just made it easier for those who could not spend their life training in the arts to express themselves creatively. Where there furries and sonic fans when the mona lisa was painted? No, because the computer allowed for more people to express themselves even if the "higher arts" did not deign them worthy for galleries. In my opinion, it's happening again, we are simply scared of the unknown which is clear from our histories. Though being a direct antagonist like this is unbecoming, you complain that Ai art looks bad so you conspire to make...it...look...bad? I agree with your points, but I disagree with your methods. This is equal to a canvas painter trying to paint over as many computer monitors as they can. This fight will only make you tired. You will not win. That is not me taking sides, this is realistic. The major companies of the world are currently investing incredible amounts of money into Ai so they can fire artists. You're enemy is not the Ai, not the Ai bro's, it's these corporations. They have you fighting amongst yourselves as they secure Ai art mastery for logo's, ads, and anything they need. The most MAJOR PAYING JOBS will be replaced either way. If this was a conversation about robotics, I would urge you to become a Cyborg or fail to adapt to this rapidly evolving world. That being said, I hope we maintain the art/creative community in the future, I think we will, because in the end... We... are the Art. Community. If we have community and keep coming together over things we enjoy, we will survive the future.
