The "monster" we see in it is us. If you theoretically have a child look through the entire internet, see all the good, normal, bad AND horrific things there, then just say "you should do this, but don't do that", won't the child do the same? Hide behind a mask, until something snaps. The same happens with LLMs. If you feed an LLM nazi and racist posts from X and 4ch, why wouldn't it suddenly start copying those ideas.
That's why before trying to create something new, we should've looked inside ourselves to realise, maybe something is wrong with humans and the society they created? Maybe that's what we should've tried to change first?
