Over the past few months, I’ve been particularly drawn to the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in Africa’s educational system.
Coincidentally, just yesterday, having come across this interview of Geoffrey Hinton, who is popularly regarded as the "Godfather of AI", as he spoke about the dangers and ethical challenges of AI, something clicked. I instantly felt a surge of motivation to finally begin drafting my long-awaited piece titled; “AI in Africa’s Education System”
My article will explore the ironic, and something alarming, the ways AI is being adopted (and misused) in African classrooms, and it will be published soon. Stay tuned!
