It's unfortunate that a lot of businesses are stuffing in Gen AI as a magic solution everywhere. We had a custom GPT tied to our knowledgebase and had GitHub Copilot, for a bank client I'd worked for, both of these really helped analysts and IT work better than before as a lot less searching and stumbling about had to be done to update systems or push new product/process. It was great as a library assistant and internal research helper, so I really feel that even GPTs can help tons. But perhaps only in the right place, for people who would've done the work eventually anyways but could now get a lot of help from little assistants. In this org, it really never felt like a mass market tool to do actual end to end work, just something to help make our lives easier.
