AI art is just a different medium. The fears people have about ai art are probably very similar to the fears when photography started picking up ("oh no, it takes ages for me to paint a portrait/landscape and now these chumps can do it with the click of a button").
Art always evolves and professional photographers exist now cuz it still takes an artist's eye to create something meaningful or expressive no matter the medium.
