Elon Musk is not an expert in AI is like saying the the frycook manager at Mcdonalds doesn't know how to cook fries. He was literally a founding member of the company that sparked the craze of Artificial Intelligence. Now AI experts here are saying that because Hinton spoke about the same concerns Musk talked about, etc. It is his word over the others? They're equivalently equal geniuses. Yes Hinton is a professor of computer sciences and pioneered neural nets in the 80's. Musk's former company and staff advanced the GPT LLM models a hell of a lot further and has shown the world the power of LLMs.
