With Sam Altman being gay and not coming out to his parents till he was 16, I do think by hiding your true identity for that long, you learn to live in two worlds simultaneously. That means a lot of half truths and manipulation, if not just outright lying. A lot of people have to live in two worlds for a variety of reasons and you certainly need to master human psychology to keep everything running smoothly.
