If only a few have any money to spend then there is no mass market to buy the goods and services produced. Companies can't sell anywhere near the volume needed to sustain let alone grow. Therefore, economic disaster!
There must though, be a point of crossover between continued prosperity and economic disaster. That is where universal income (not basic but real income) comes back as the only way forward for some thinkers.
Others will, of course, just be greedy and try or succeed to stuff this process up no doubt.
Also, massive amounts of free time given to human beings means something is going to happen and most likely not in a good way particularly without real income.
Ah, it's a real mess we are just sailing into without mentioning bad actors (human and AI) who will try and dominate everything.
Caution is given to fossil fuels, none though, seems to be given to this obvious problem of a completely man made and driven endeavor.
