Developers should learn 2 very important things from this scenario:
1. Don't dig you own whole. Don't develop something that will steal your job. Make yourself count in the process and once the process is finished.
2. Take advatange on the fact that they realized and recognized what mistake they've done. Use that in your advantage, show that you know you matter more than a stupid AI and make sure the AI is reliant on you.
