GPT-4 did not cost anywhere remotely close to 10 billion. That is how much Microsoft invested in OpenAI, very different numbers.
~100 million is the rough approximate price to train GPT-4. The next generation will likely be an order of magnitude more, as will the one after that. So GPT-6 (or the equivalent) might cost somewhere in that ballpark.
