It has ALWAYS been a small group of people who decide how things progress. Moat religions were decided by a small group of insiders. Most Monarchies, even most democracies are decided for by a small group. The Constitution of the US was decided by a tiny group of people. Bioethics around genetic engineering. Our laws are decided by 9 people in smoky back rooms. Why should AI be any different?
