This is...unfortunate. Look I get that artists feel threatened. The career they have chosen is going under enormous strain and was only barely viable as a career in the first place. But guess what, you aren't guaranteed the right to make a career for your art. That's not and never has been a thing. nor are you guaranteed not to have your art looked at and imitated. Literally every one of you have done this since you were old enough to pick up a pencil but now that machines are doing it you gleefully become arsonists proudly trying to thwart human advancement, and yes development of AI is *human* advancement. It means, among many other things the democratization of skills. Rather than artists being able to act as gate keepers everyday people can now actually make beautiful art that suits their interests without having to have vast sums of money to throw at the project. That's a good thing. Rather than react with fear and hatred of life changing and try to prevent that why not become part of the solution? There's absolutely a role to be played by creatives in an age where AI tools proliferate. Change is always painful for people because we don't adapt to it well. We get set in our ways and think the way things are now is the way it should be. But that attitude always holds back progress. It's the mindset that supports oppression and bigotry because that's the way it's always been rather than working towards a better future. The future will involve change. We can either move forward or back. A whole lot of people right now are trying to move us back. Don't be one of them.
