I work at a local market where painters used to set up booths and sell their work. Then an Ai prompter showed up doing Ai images for 10% of the cost and it devalued the painters who spent 6-12 hours on each work. People weren't buying the Ai stuff, but it still altered their view of the real paintings forcing them to all pack up and go home.
Edit: thsi took place over the course of a few months last year.
