So we just have to adapt while AI supercharges the economy and grows the "pie". Really. They have been talking about growing the pie for 40 years, and life for the average person is worse than it was 40 years ago. This is just like free trade....it will grow the economy and everyone will just adapt to the new jobs market so they said. Well, it is decades in and the social disruption caused by free trade still hasn't been worked out. The anger that has generated continues to seethe and now may permanently take away our democracy and could even wipe out centuries of human progress. Now we are supposed to believe that a society already on the verge of collapse can adapt constructively to something 1000 times more disruptive. It boggles the mind that this *hole can proclaim that all will be well. This is just beyond insane.
