Why is it assumed that we would sit around? If I wasn’t working long hours to pay corrupt systems (through political power) that profit the elite (those who are directly and indirectly) killing people and our planet) I could be spend that time and money doing more that I enjoy. Have time and energy for family and friends. Painting, planting and caring for a garden. Walking on the beach, in the woods. Creating, sharing, and receiving the gifts of Life! I actually do enjoy my job, however it is what I do to earn money, it is not my identity. Whether it is talking to people (interviewing) cooking, caring for others, building, creating in the endless ways we do, if an individual loves what they do why wouldn’t they continue? If not, with the freedom to explore and discover, they could seek joy rather than a paycheque. The education system will need to be recreated for this framework. The monetary system will have to undergo significant changes. Leadership will look completely different as it would no longer be power structures. This is a very bleak view of the possibilities. The lens at which this is being discussed is through our current societal structure, which is one of power, egoic identity and lack of compassion for humanity by those individuals who are benefiting and profiting for personal gain. Just because you say it doesn’t mean it’s true. It could be wonderful, and the majority of people on this earth want a new way of being.Unfortunately fear mongering sways by scaring the crap out of people. It’s like the obedient, abused person/animal that snaps one day and fights back. It’s inevitable. When death is preferable to another day of torture.
