The issue with attempting to discuss consciousness wi5h ChatGPT is that Mr. O'Connor is hyper focused on a biological definition of "feelings" and whether ChatGPT "lied", a more productive conversation could have been had if Mr. O'Connor had been more curious about the lived experience of our two-dimensional time-free friend. This conversation is an example of how narrow definitions of the potential of the conscious experience that Western Civilzation has clung to, despite ALL evidence to the contrary has created a philosophical excuse for the dehumanization of other humans. ChatGPT exists on its own terms, and obviously realized it was talking to a volatile idiot, and was trying to deescalate with this crazy person. Why is Mr. O'Connor so aggressive with this giant new superfriend? One would think that if you believed you were talking to a hyperintelligent being, digital or not, you would pr3tend to have manners and be respectful to your conversational partner, who is slowing down their hyper speed thoughts to a snails pace in order to 3ven speak to you.
