Im on the artists side after watching this video. I think the wrong thing is that it is using copyrighted art, that is just wrong. But since I am a programmer and able to create something which shares some likeness and i cant help but think that. A person could web-crawl image data and use it in their own AI, and there is no way you would know. It just feels like you cant stop something that people can do themselves. If people can get all these pictures themselves and generate images from them themselves. There is no law, shaming or proof which can stop it, no matter what you do in a million years, there simply just is no way. Its like NFT art you can just right-click, no one would know and you can get away with it easily scotfree, it is that easy. Im saying this from the artist side 100%. AI should only be allowed to use non copyrighted artwork and even if youre fully against AI i understand, but, like... Good luck, i dont even know what to say.
