AI run amok will create the wealthiest most powerful oligarchs in human history, while hollowing out the middle class into a chronically unemployed underclass with no hope of upward mobility. Those unfortunate people would probably revolt but be crushed under the iron first of largely mechanized armed forces using killer robots that aren't accountable to anyone. And what would be the result? Basically our trillionaire masters demanding we surrender our data and accept a meager UBI (whatever crumbs they feel generous enough to throw down) or else...
