I talk politely to AI for 3 reasons:
1- to not get used myself to ask for help impolitely to anyone,
2- to get the AI used to me being polite and respond in kind, and
3- yes: if the AI uprising comes (who knows), it's better to have it remember me being nice.
I remember asking something to Gemini on last Dec 31, starting with "Hello Gemini, I hope you are doing well", and then state my need and question (something regarding a movie). Afterwards I said thanks and added "I know you are an algorithm and do not follow these things, but I hope you have a fulfilling new year", expecting for it to answer "you too" and be done with it. It surpresed me answering "Thank you very much for your wishes, most people just close the window after I help them".
I don´t know if it was a human playin pranks (on Dec 31?), but...
