Long ago, we should have applied a specific tax to the tech giants. Let them know that they need to pay as they put the millions of hard-working people out of jobs. And funnel that money into the UBI (Universal Basic Income). Only the UBI will avert the future that AI will bring on: mass unemployment, food shortages and violence in the streets.
