36:45 it seems so obvious now that Altman would shift from Y Combinator to lead one of the start-ups it is accelerating. Later in the discussion Karen mentions about how he put his hand in many pies intentionally to "hedge his bets" so to speak. Fits so well with his "investor mindset" motivations and his agreeing with conflicting or opposite views about the directions for these companies. You can actually reverse engineer his motivations from these discussions. Y Combinator is the PERFECT place to start from if that is your mindset. You have a complete overview of the hottest startups in silicon valley and you can monitor which ones are going to be successful and jump onto the "horse" that breaks away from the field when you want. Guaranteed success. Fascinating. Thank you to Karen Hao for all this super valuable inside information.
