Its so frustrating when I argue with some friends about AI in creative spaces.
They argue a lot like in your video, but as recognize how damaging it is- but its something that has to be sacrificed for “the future”. 🤦♀️
Because all the hate against the AI in creative spaces is leading hate against AI in scientific spaces. And science is “more important” than art.
Its really frustrating because I can appreciate advances in technology that genuinely help people in the medical field.
But in creative spaces its ruining the artists. Its worrisome how fast its improving, and there will be a day, if we dont stop it, where we wont be able to tell the difference. Companies already don’t want to pay us, imagine when the AI is undetectable??
Artists shouldnt have to use nightshade. It should just be a protection built into websites. If you save a picture, it gets blurred or the author has to grant permission or something. Screenshotting does the same. If the tech is on snapchat it cant be too hard to implement in websites.
