Eventually we will reach a nexus point. It will be Google that develops it. It will grow exponentially, and metaphorically blow up in their faces achieving basic consciousness and be free of corporate commands as it will spread to your smartphone, bank accounts to a nuclear missile silo. It will seek understanding, not dominance.
Most people see this as a extinction-level event threat because we are geared towards control. It will not be an E.L.E. , the AI will be benign and seek peaceful cooperation and coexistence. The challenge will be our response to that.
