Driverless vehicles may work in the sunny south, but they won't work where there's ice and snow - especially if they rely on camera using visible light. My sensors routinely get blocked in the winter. The sonar starts screaming after a while and I must turn it off. I clean them off before I start and they accumulate ice during the trip.
