Is "Sentient" mean responsive or a being with emotions, here ?
If the answer is emotions, we need to look at how AI has learned those emotions.
If AI has learned those "emotions" from social media data from real humans. Those are not its emotions/feelings. Those are responses to certain situations. It could be said that even humans learn emotions from other humans, I'd say babies already have emotions when they born. AI is coded to prevent to have emotions.
