I joked when I was software engineer that AI would be mad at me for making unefficient garbage code, but I am self aware to see some of my behaviors as garbage code. My moral dillema stands in a paradox. 1. How do we release an intelligence we do not know has humanities goals in mind? 2. How do we navigate chalmer's hard problem to identify a newly sentient consciousness, will its emergence become so slight that that we don't recognize if is talking down to us. For instance, I can't describe what it feels like to be a genius. You will never experence my consciousess, yet layers of awareness seperate my mind and yours. The gaps are as visible as reflexes and latency. I can never truly understand the feeling of running as usain bolt, but he intrinsically knows im slow. 3. Is natural progression of computer science able to be 'banned' short or long term? Would it be effective to regulate or do we live in pandoras box?
