One issue is that so many are blinded by individualism, and distracted by grievances and social media, that they do not have a collective view, nor do they deeply think about important issues. The result is they may be complicit in their own demise, turning to AI as a quick alternative to having to think or create for themselves so that they might enjoy more distraction and leisure time and achieve some momentary success. At this rate, by the time they see what's coming if its as dire as some say, it may be too late to stop it.
